Creating Sacred Spaces at Home: My Personal Tips
Hey everyone! It’s Ness from Boho Wicks, and today I want to share some tips on creating sacred spaces at home. We all need a little sanctuary where we can escape the chaos of daily life, and having a dedicated space for relaxation and reflection can make a huge difference. Here are some personal tips to help you set up your own sacred space using my intention candles, crystal forests, and spell jars.
Finding Your Spot
First things first, you need to find the right spot. For me, it’s my spare bedroom where I can shut the door and feel like I'm in a vortex or a high-energy portal. Maybe for you, it’s a corner of the living room, a spot in your garden, or another quiet place. The key is to find a place where you feel comfortable and undisturbed.
Cleansing the Area
Before setting up, I always cleanse the space. I love using palo santo or one of my protection or recharging sprays to clear out any negative vibes. I don't always use my own, though. I have numerous sprays I've picked up during my travels. Just go with what feels right for you. Sometimes, I sprinkle a little salt around the area or use a cleansing spray. This step is like hitting the reset button, making the space ready for positive energy.
Decorating with Meaning
Now comes the fun part – decorating! I start with my intention candles. They’re perfect for setting the mood and bringing in specific energies. Whether it’s for peace, love, or prosperity, there’s a candle for every intention. Next, I add one of my crystal forests. They’re not just beautiful; each one has its unique energy to support my intentions. And of course, I place a few spell jars around. They’re like little power packs of intention!
Making it Comfortable
Your sacred space should be a place where you want to spend time. I add some comfy cushions and blankets, and maybe a chair if I feel like sitting up. A lot of my fave things are in there. Personal touches are a must – photos, meaningful objects, or anything that brings a smile to my face.
Daily Rituals
To make the most of my sacred space, I try to spend a few minutes or as long as I can in there each day. Sometimes I meditate, sometimes I just sit quietly. The routine helps me stay connected to my intentions and brings a sense of calm to my day. This is where I also keep my guitar. Yep, I'm learning!
